Tattoo parlors seem to be the new hotspot for todays´ink-loving stars who are making their mark in music and in Hollywood.

Jolie´s affinity for tattoos is just one of her many attention-grabbing characteristics. Among her many tattoos, past and present, are those representing former husbands Johnny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.  The latitude and longitude of each of her four children´s birthplace locations were added, in part to cover up Thornton´s name, after their divorce.

She also sports a Sanskrit prayer for son Maddox on her left shoulder.

Angelina Jolie was supposed to ride a very bad accent combined with what should have been a very important movie back to the top of the film world.  Jolie, once known for her acting ability and wild antics is now best known for her multiple adoptions, her tabloid presence and her involvement with the United Nations.

But all of that was going to change with the film “A Mighty Heart” as this was supposed to be her “Oscar” role that would return Jolie to the top of the heap.  So what went wrong?  Us Weekly reports that when the Oscar nominations were announced on Tuesday morning, Angelina Jolie’s name was noticeably absent, despite scoring both Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild nods.

So - What happened?  “It was a very strong race for best actress, and A Mighty Heart was a box office bomb,” says Thelma Adams, Us Weekly’s film critic, adding that a movie’s earnings play into who gets nominated. Adams says many voters also could have forgotten about the flick, which opened back in June.

“It’s really about the fall movies that come out at the Toronto Film Festival [in September],” Adams says of who gets recognized.  Still, Adams says Jolie’s gritty role as Mariane Pearl, widow of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, should’ve gotten nominated.

“I personally do think her performance warranted an Oscar,” Adams says. “It was a great performance, and underneath it all, she’s a great actress.”  

Hollywood star BRAD PITT and ANGELINA JOLIE are planning to adopt a little girl from Africa - because the actress wants to “save” another child from the poverty-stricken continent.
The couple already has a brood of four - adopted Maddox, six, from Cambodia; four-year-old Pax from Vietnam; two-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia, and their only biological child, Shiloh, one.
But the Mr. & Mrs Smith co-stars have already expressed their desire to expand their young family, and Jolie’s brother James Haven reveals they are set to return to Africa to look for a little sister for their four kids.
He says, “They are creating one big family and will keep adopting as long as they are able to.
“Angie and Brad talk about how much they’ve been taught by their kids. In many respects, Angie saved Zahara’s life and there are so many more children whose live she could save and she talks about that constantly.” According to British tabloid the Daily Mirror, Pitt and Jolie will start looking at African orphanages over this coming Easter(Mar08).

ANGELINA Jolie has held out an olive branch to her father, Oscar winner Jon Voight, after years of bitterness and hostility towards him.

She is trying to mend the deep wounds that exist between her and Voight, 69, who walked out on the family when Angelina was just ten.

Angelina, 32, has written and told him: “We’ll see how far we can go.” 

Voight was said to be heartbroken that he’d been frozen out of his daughter’s new family with Brad Pitt and he had no chance to get to know their natural daughter Shiloh, 19 months, or their adopted children Maddox, six, Pax, four, and Zahara, two. 

In January last year after her mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, died from ovarian cancer, Angelina pointedly ignored Voight at the funeral.

Seven years ago father and daughter managed a brief reconciliation until Voight burst into tears on American TV when questioned about the break-up of his daughter’s second marriage, to actor Billy Bob Thornton. 

He described her as being “mentally ill”, prompting Angelina to refuse to speak to him, although she attacked him in interviews.

She once said: “You can’t just call yourself a father. I don’t view blood as being family. I see time and love. You have to earn it.”

Now a friend has revealed Brad, 44, has played a huge part in persuading his wife to try to heal the wounds. 

“Brad always thought their rift was a terrible shame. For months he’s been gently coaxing her towards contacting her dad,” he said.

Spotted out for a little fine dining, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie spent Saturday night at the well-known eatery Georgio Baldi in Santa Monica.

The multi-tasking globe-trotting parents were without their kids - taking advantage of the little adults-only time that they have in their busy schedules.

In recent news, the Hollywood power-couple is reportedly seeking out a new movie to star in together, as they enjoy working with one another.

The 32-year-old Jolie said, “We like filming together and we have got our eyes open if it comes our way.”

Jolie and Pitt have co-starred in Mr and Mrs Smith, and were also co-involved in the movie A Mighty Heart, in which Jolie starred as the lead actress, while Pitt was the producer.

According to sources, Angelina Jolie took a trip to Springfield, Missouri to visit Brad Pitt’s mom. Sources say the pair got along great despite their past problems. Jolie and Jane Pitt were believed to have had problems over the Pitt family’s close relationship with Brad’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.  The time around Jolie and Jane laid aside their problems, according to insiders. “Jane shared some of Brad’s favorite recipes – pecan pie, green bean and mushroom soup casserole and mac and cheese – with Angelina, who’s learning to cook,” says the source.  Meanwhile, Jolie is rumored to be pregnant. The immigrant surely has set his goals high, but according to a report from the National Enquirer Britney Spears wasn’t the first celebrity targeted by her Adnan that “honor” goes to Angelina Jolie, the magazine claims in a published article.

Ghalib, who’s married, zeroed in on the troubled pop star after getting nowhere with Angelina, friends revealed to the magazine . “Angelina was definitely one his quests,” a pal told The Enquirer. “He told me seriously: ‘She’s fond of me. She calls me Addy, and I’m the only photographer she’s nice to.”

But rest easy Brangelina fans, nothing developed with Angelina, so 35-year-old Adnan – who was born in Afghanistan and raised in England and claims to be separated from his wife – focused on Britney. “Instead of just taking her picture, Adnan started talking to Britney and helping her. She was his chance to get the spotlight and make money,” said the pal. “As far back as August, he was telling friends: ‘Britney has a crush on me.’ A few weeks later, he bragged that Britney told him he was cute.”

Hollywood couple ANGELINA JOLIE and BRAD PITT are hoping to star in another movie together.
The actors met while filming 2005 action film Mr & Mrs Smith and after Pitt finalised his divorce from Jennifer Aniston in August 2005 , the pair announced they were dating.
And Jolie insists she enjoyed working with Pitt and is hoping they will be able to repeat their big-screen success with a future project.
She says, “We liked filming together and we have got our eyes open if it comes our way.” Pitt and Jolie now have three adopted kids - Maddox, six; Pax, three, and Zahara, two - and their biological child, 20-month-old Shiloh.

Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie was honored at the Critic’s Choice Awards. The pair was joined by Katie Holmes, George Clooney and Matt Damon.

Pitt was honored for his work in New Orleans. He was commended for “doing more for black people than the Federal Emergency Management Agency.” The 44-year-old set up the Make It Right Foundation to help rebuild homes destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Pitt was given the title “honorary Black person” for his efforts.
Pitt and Jolie showed in coordinating outfits. The mother of four wore a black belted trench coat and black heels while Pitt sported a three piece grey suit without a necktie.

 Angelina Jolie already has everything a girl could ask for: an A-list film career, four beautiful children, and let’s not forget Brad Pitt.

But, as reported in the current issue of OK!, the award winning actress, 32, is now desperate to have a second biological child. So much so, she’s even telling her people to schedule upcoming press tours around a possible pregnancy.

According to a studio insider, Angelina’s camp has told studio execs the heartbreakingly hot star “would not be available on some dates” to promote her upcoming film Wanted, due out this June.
The reason? “Angelina is focusing on trying to get pregnant and to hopefully be pregnant around the time of the film’s release,” the source tells OK! exclusively.
