With beau Brad Pitt in the audience and her latest director Clint Eastwood on hand to present her with the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s Outstanding Performance of the Year Award for her turn in A Mighty Heart, Angelina Jolie signed autographs and posed for photos Saturday night with scores of fans who filled the streets, before taking the stage to discuss her film career and reveal a few candid nuggets from her off-screen life.

She retains fond memories of sharing a single acting scene in Tomb Raider with her father Jon Voight, from whom she’s currently estranged. “Strangely enough, the scene was about a daughter and her father who had not spent their lives together and had a lot of questions for each other…[It was] kind of therapeutic for us to get some things out and talk. We spent that time as two artists, and it was a special time. It was an important time.”

When her ex-husband and Pushing Tin costar Billy Bob Thornton was mentioned, she said “I thought he was an amazing artist, and still is.”

•Prior to screening the famous tango scene clip from Mr. & Mrs. Smith, she was asked if she or Pitt was the better dancer: “I think we’re about equal,” she replied. “Equally not so good.”

•Despite starring in several high-tech productions, she’s technologically challenged in real life: “As Brad knows, I don’t really how to turn on a computer.”

•After back-to-back clips featuring romantic scenes with Brad in Mr. & Mrs. Smith and she and Matt Damon in The Good Shepherd, Jolie said she looked like she was “out on one date and went out on another.” Given the choice between former [Pitt] and current [Damon] holders of PEOPLE’s “Sexiest Man Alive” title she responded “I’m going with the first one.”

•Both she and Pitt were initially reluctant to take on their roles in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but “obviously I’m very glad I did it – It changed my life.”

•When asked if her humanitarian efforts were an even greater passion than acting, she chose a third alternative: “I love being a mom, and I think that’s my big passion: being with my family.”

CLINT EASTWOOD honoured ANGELINA JOLIE at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Saturday (02Feb08) by handing her the event’s Performance of the Year award.
The actress won the prize for her portrayal of Mariane Pearl, wife of slain journalist Daniel Pearl, in A Mighty Heart.
Jolie was thrilled to receive the honour from Eastwood, the director of her new film The Changeling, stating, “I think he’s just a genuinely great guy.
He’s nice to everybody on set.” The actress arrived at the prizegiving gala with partner Brad Pitt. The media in attendance was instructed not to ask the couple questions about a rumoured pregnancy.

As we’ve already said, Sunday night was the much anticipated late kick-off to red carpet season with the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were there, and as usual Brad and Angie looked stunning!

It is also looks like Angelina might be hiding a baby bump. As we reported last week, rumor has it the Pitt-Jolie clan is expanding again. This time we’re told they’re having twins.

Jolie was nominated at the SAG Awards for “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role” for her role as Mariane Pearl in Paramount Vantage’s A Mighty Heart. Sadly she didn´t win, the award went to Julie Christie.

In ‘A Mighty Heart’ , she plays Mariane Pearl, the pregnant wife of Wall Street journalist Daniel Pearl who was abducted in Pakistan. What happens in the hands of director Michael Winterbottom is an enthralling film which manages to hold your attention right through, even though the ending is known to most of us.

But for all Winterbottom’s clever direction it is Jolie who convinces as she finds herself thrust into the limelight as the hunt for her husband reaches a dramatic conclusion.

ANGELINA JOLIE and her brother JAMES HAVEN will mark the first anniversary of their mother’s death by making a sizeable donation to the Los Angeles hospital where she lost her battle with ovarian cancer.
Marcheline Bertrand passed away at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on 27 January (07) aged 56.
And Jolie and Haven plan to pay their respects to their beloved mother with a day-long vigil on Sunday (27Jan08) to commemorate her life.
The event will see Jolie take her four children - Maddox, six; Pax, four; Zahara, three, and biological daughter Shiloh, 19 months - to the L.A. hospital with her brother to hand over the money to the hospital’s women’s cancer research fund.
But Haven is said to be concerned about how the Tomb Raider star will cope with the emotional day.
A close family friend says, “James and Angelina adored their mother. They want this day to be solely dedicated to her memory.
“(But) Angie still weeps for her a lot and James has been saying how he’s worried she will fall apart on Sunday.” Both siblings were close to Bertrand, but Jolie in particular struggled to come to terms with her mum’s death and recently praised her boyfriend Brad Pitt for helping her through the trying time.

Could the achingly beautiful couple that is Brangelina be pregnant with twins?

Well, the internet is buzzing with reports that Angelina Jolie has a bun in the oven.

Star magazine claims that Angela discovered she was pregnant when her appetite picked up over the past week.

While over at X17.com they’re equally adamant the star is with child.

Rumours that Jolie, 32, is pregnant have gained momentum since she appeared at the Critics’ Choice awards on January 7 looking considerably fuller of figure.

And while hubby Brad and other revellers drank booze, she stuck to water all evening.

Star magazine also says that Jolie immediately cancelled plans to visit Europe once she discovered she was pregnant: “Brad and Angelina are absolutely ecstatic,” a source says. “But I still think there will be more adoptions to come.”

Jolie is said to have been spotted visiting the office of Dr Jason Rothbart, the doctor who treated her during her first pregnancy.

Reports say Rothbart advised the star to put on some weight before thinking about getting pregnant again.

Jolie has made no secret of her desire to have more children, and it looks as thought her wish has been granted.
