Angelina shops in Austin

When it comes to hiding her baby bump, it appears that Angelina has officially given up. The “Tomb Raider” actress was spotted by the paparazzi earlier today, and there’s no denying that she has a bun (or two) in the oven.
Jolie was on her way to drop her daughter, Zahara, off at school when the shutterbugs caught up to her. She was sporting a form-fitting black top and a flowing skirt as she made her way from the school.
Next stop: Barnes and Noble Booksellers, where Ang grabbed some reading material before returning home. Her belly has grown significantly over the past couple of weeks, leaving the “Girl Interrupted” actress little hope of being discreet about being preggers.
The Jolie-Pitt clan is stationed in Austin, Texas for the time being. Brad Pitt is shooting a new drama titled “The Tree of Life” with another stud, actor Sean Penn.

Angelina and Maddox in Texas

With all the media hoopla surrounding the Jolie-Pitts, you gotta hand it to them - they take it all in stride.
Angelina Jolie was spotted at the Austin, Texas airport on Tuesday with her six-year-old adopted son Maddox. And despite the surrounding paparazzi, they went about their business as usual.
The “Girl Interrupted” actress’ son did seem a bit intrigued with the constant flashbulbs, as he peered into the lenses of the clamoring shutterbugs.
You have to wonder how the four kids of the Jolie-Pitt clan are handling the news that they’ll soon have yet another brother or sister (they haven’t announced the sex of the baby).

Jolie´s Wanted

Wanted, Universal’s high-octane assassin thriller starring Angelina Jolie, James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman. If you’re a fan of the Russian fantasy-horror Night Watch trilogy, you have even more reason to get excited.
If you’ve seen any of Timur Bekmanbetov’s Night Watch movies (part three, Twilight Watch, is supposedly in production) then you should feel an instant familiarity with Wanted, Bekmanbetov’s English-language and Hollywood debut. Adapted from a limited-run comic book series by Mark Millar, Wanted is about a bookish young man (James McAvoy) who discovers that his late father was a super assassin and that he is next to join the ranks of a secret society of killers with superpowers led by Morgan Freeman and Angelina Jolie.

Angelina classic and stunning

With none of her trademark tattoos in sight, Angelina Jolie models the new range of clothing brand St. John - looking a world away from her tough action girl role.
A demure-looking Angelina looked every inch the old school Hollywood beauty with her shiny brunette hair piled loosely on top of her head, while wearing a classic LBD from the American luxury label.
The shoot took place several weeks ago, before the actress’ bump confirmed reports that she was pregnant with twins.
U.N. goodwill ambassador Angelina took the modelling job along with a spokesperson role as the voice of the company’s charity, which was created in support of children’s issues and causes.
“She’s a mother, actress and a philanthropist,” said Richard Cohen, chief executive officer of St. John.
Jolie, 32, signed with St. John in September 2005. At the time, she said she was excited about working with the clothing line.
“I am a working mother who has set goals to accomplish a lot in this world,” she said.
“I want my wardrobe to be beautiful, sexy and comfortable — all at the same time. St. John is all of those things.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina are also adoptive parents to Zahara, three, Pax Thien, four, and have a biological daughter Shiloh Nouvel, 21 months.
In preparation for the birth this summer, Pitt has been rescheduling his work so he has enough time to spend with Jolie and the children.
A friend of the couple told the Mail Online: “They’re having twins, Angelina is healthy, and he’s thrilled that he’s going to be a father once again.
“Brad’s telling everybody close to him, because he’s having to change around his work schedule to get ready for the birth.
“They didn’t exactly plan this pregnancy, but they wanted more children and Brad says Angelina was very willing to have them herself.”

Jolie´s editorial
The request is familiar to American ears: “Bring them home.”
But in Iraq, where I’ve just met with American and Iraqi leaders, the phrase carries a different meaning. It does not refer to the departure of U.S. troops, but to the return of the millions of innocent Iraqis who have been driven out of their homes and, in many cases, out of the country.
In the six months since my previous visit to Iraq with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, this humanitarian crisis has not improved. However, during the last week, the United States, UNHCR and the Iraqi government have begun to work together in new and important ways.
Jolie´s serious work
Angelina Jolie has weighed in on US Policy in Iraq and she believes that the presence of US Troops in the county is a good match for humanitarian and security reasons. Actor and Jolie pal George Clooney once told Barack Obama that he liked him and wanted him to be the next president but would not campaign of him because so many people see Hollywood celebrities as political poison.
That much is certainly true but it appears that Angelina Jolie is set out to change all of that as she desperately tries to focus attention on humanitarian efforts to assist the displaced and desperate Iraqi refugees. Jolie wrote an op-ed piece in the Washington Post (”A Reason to Stay in Iraq,”) that was quite eloquent and she warned against squandering the good works there by a premature pull out of American forces. Jolie was criticized for her trip to Iraq earlier because she is pregnant and some believed that she was putting her unborn child in danger but it appears that she believes in her cause enough to do the leg work.

She made the trip and even spoke with Gen. David Petraeus, the American military commander in Iraq, and Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki. She would later do an interview with CNN as well to try and draw even more attention to the crisis.
All good things, but she really put herself out there when she decided to promote the troop surge, a pivotal part of the US presidential elections and a still raging debate among the US Congress. Jolie wrote, “I can only state what I witnessed. When I asked the troops if they wanted to go home as soon as possible, they said that they miss home but feel invested in Iraq,” she wrote. “They have lost many friends and want to be a part of the humanitarian progress they now feel is possible.”
***
Wow - not your typical Hollywood response. Even conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh praised the actress and now her editorial has sparked even more debate on who she supports for president and why she would ever support more troops and go so far against the grain of Hollywood.

Jolie´s Gia tops lesbian favourites

Actress, philanthropist and international mother, Angelina Jolie, can now add “favorite lesbian role” to her list of credentials. The top lesbian site, Lesbination, recently ran a poll asking lesbians from all over the world their favorite characters in film. Jolie’s stint as a famous early supermodel in Gia took the top affection from respondents. Playing the rebelliously gorgeous Gia Carangi afforded Jolie both a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild award, and won the admiration of LGBT fans from across the world.
Rounding out the list of lesbian’s top favorite characters in film include Ally Sheedy’s role in High Art, Clea Duvall’s lesbian romp in But I’m A Cheerleader, Jennifer Tilly’s character in Bound (ACD’s favorite!) and Queen Latifah’s role in Set It Off.
