Jolie is being honored at the festival with the Outstanding Performance of the Year award in recognition for her work in A Mighty Heart.
Other honorees include Casey Affleck, Julie Christie, Tommy Lee Jones, Ryan Gosling, James McAvoy, Ellen Page and Amy Ryan.
